After having its application ritually rejected from the App Store, Grooveshark has released its iPhone application via Cydia.

Grooveshark gave up on the App Store because Apple has been “ritually rejecting” the app for “primary selfish reasons”.

TechCrunch reports that the startup spent many months developing the application only to go months without a hearing a peep out of Cupertino.

For those of you not familiar with the service, Grooveshark is an internationally-available online music search engine, music streaming service and music recommendation web software application, allowing users to search for, stream, and upload music free of charge that can be played immediately or added to a playlist. Their iPhone application requires a Grooveshark VIP subscription ($3/month) which you can sign-up for from inside the app. Once a member you can use Grooveshark Mobile to connect to your online music library, search for music from the Grooveshark catalog, and access your saved playlists and library with your Grooveshark account.

You download Grooveshark from the Big Boss Cydia Repository.
