The just seeded beta of macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 references three new Macs to be released this year. The references were discovered by @HarckerTech.
MacOS Big Sur 11.0.1 mentions 3 distinct unreleased Macs, all set for release in 2020. In beta 10 only one of these was present.
The new bundles are:
● MacHardwareTypes-2020f.bundle
● MacHardwareTypes-2020g.bundle
● MacHardwareTypes-2020h.bundle
9to5Mac notes that within the /System/Library folder, Apple includes a variety of bundle files to identify different Mac models.
The MacHardwareTypes-2019f.bundle and MacHardwareTypes-2020d.bundle files represent the 16-inch MacBook Pro, while the MacHardwareTypes-2020a.bundle is for the 2020 MacBook Air, and the other files refer to the 2020 iMac and the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro.
Unfortunately, the bundles don't give us any specific information about the new Macs but we're expecting Apple to unveil its new Apple Silicon devices on November 17th. Notably, the changelog for a recent Boot Camp release suggested that we could get an update to 16-inch MacBook Pro this year.
