SpeedSmart has published some early 5G speed test results for the new iPhone 12. Considering the iPhone 12 hasn't officially been released yet, there are a limited amount of test results.

While there have not been a ton of tests with the new iPhone, yet we do have some results for the 3 carrier networks in the US. Keep in mind these are early tests and a small number of tests in just a few locations across the country.

AT&T
● Los Angeles: 155.91 Mbps down / 24.63 Mbps up / 26ms ping
● San Francisco: 70.40 Mbps down / 14.77 Mbps up / 30ms ping
● Dallas: 200.67 Mbps down / 17.95 Mbps up / 27ms ping

T-Mobile
● New York City: 142.71 Mbps down / 51.20 Mbps up / 72ms ping
● San Francisco: 427.70 Mbps down / 49.60 Mbps up / 26ms ping
● Washington, DC: 457.21 Mbps down / 91.70 Mbps up / 18ms ping
● San Francisco: 77.60 Mbps down / 21.27 Mbps up / 68ms ping
● San Francisco: 91.30 Mbps down / 17.69 Mbps up / 71ms ping
● New York City: 621.30 Mbps down / 78.74 Mbps up / 21ms ping

Verizon
● San Francisco: 2007.13 Mbps down / 64.30 Mbps up / 13ms ping
● Chicago: 1136.91 Mbps down / 39.43 Mbps up / 14ms ping
● Chicago: 1477.61 Mbps down / 54.96 Mbps up / 21ms ping
● San Francisco: 714.36 Mbps down / 49.71 Mbps up / 13ms ping
● Los Angeles: 1017.12 Mbps down / 83.60 Mbps up / 19ms ping

Clearly, Verizon's millimeter wave network is the winner here; however, it's likely that most users won't be getting these speeds due to the network's limited availability.

SpeedSmart notes that AT&T seems to be using only Low Band 5G while T-Mobile has a mix of Low Band and Mid Band 5G leading to better speeds.

We'll share more 5G speed tests as they become available. Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for updates.
