YouTube is now works with the iOS 14 Picture in Picture feature via Safari for all users. Previously, the company had limited picture in picture to premium users.
It's unclear if this functionality is intentional as YouTube disabled the feature for non-premium users on iOS 14.0. It's possible that iOS 14.0.1 restored the feature and YouTube could take steps to block it again.
