Schematics for a next generation iPad have alleged been leaked by 91mobiles.
Ahead of the rumoured launch, 91mobiles has received the design schematics of the upcoming iPad 2020 from a trusted source. The design shows the next-gen model will look quite like the iPad Pro 2020 — it will have thinner bezels around the screen, Face ID sensors above the display, and no Touch ID fingerprint sensor. On the back will be a single camera with LED flash; the schematics also show the iPad 2020 will have magnetic connectors on the back for Magic Keyboard support.
According to the site, the display is 10.84-inches in size. They also claim to see Face ID sensors above the display. Other observations include dual speakers, USB-C, and four microphones.
The iPad is described as an eighth generation iPad rather than the rumored new iPad Air which purportedly has Touch ID embedded into the Power button.
All good additions, but after acquiring my 20” iPad Pro, the big high-res display is so much better, I’m uninterested in anything else (I travel with my iPhone, and take my MacBook Pro on the road), so there’s little need for a smaller size. But since most parents are buying these for their younger children, the size makes sense. But ... who wants to give very young children a better tablet than you can afford for yourself?
