Apple is preparing new 'Apple One' subscription bundles that group together the company's digital services at a lower price, reports Bloomberg.
The company is expected to launch the series of new bundles as early as October.
There will be different tiers, according to the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private plans. A basic package will include Apple Music and Apple TV+, while a more expensive variation will have those two services and the Apple Arcade gaming service. The next tier will add Apple News+, followed by a pricier bundle with extra iCloud storage for files and photos.
It's said that subscribing to a bundle will save customers about $2 to more than $5 per month. Currently, if a family subscribes to all of Apple's major services, plus the highest iCloud storage tier, that costs around $45/month. With Apple One that price could drop to around $40/month or lower.
The structure of the bundles could change, but Apple is trying to replicate the success Amazon has had with its Prime subscription, says Bloomberg.
Notably, Apple is reportedly working on a new subscription that would provide users access to virtual fitness classes. The service could be offered in a higher-end bundle with other Apple services. The workout package is codenamed 'Seymour' and would rival similar classes offered by Peloton and Nike.
Eventually, Apple could add AppleCare support or monthly device payment plans to its bundles but they won't be integrated at launch. However, the company does purportedly have new software and hardware bundles planned. For example, giving buyers of the Apple TV a free year of Apple Arcade.
