Images of a new Sonos 'Arc' soundbar, Sonos 'Five' speaker, and third generation Sonos Sub have been leaked by German site WinFuture. Sonos could launch the new devices as early as tomorrow.
According to Roland Quandt, the Sonos Arc will be marketed as "best for TVs with more than 49in". It appears likely that the soundbar will finally gain support for Dolby Atmos.
oh before I forget: marketed as "best for TVs with more than 49in". 11 amps. Dolby Atmos (which Sonos Beam does not have (?))
The Sonos Five is said to feature three large woofers.
Two tweeters and midrange speakers are integrated, while a small tweeter is supposed to provide clear sound. The entire package is in a sealed construction that is intended to eliminate sound reflections and echoes.
Two Sonos Five speakers can be connected to each other in an upright position for better stereo sound. The speaker is said to support Apple AirPlay 2 and feature an 3.5mm line-in port.
The Sonos Sub continues the design of previous generation subwoofers.
The Sonos Sub naturally takes over the low tones and supposedly also improves the reproduction of medium frequencies.
