Apple's rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro with a mini-LED display may be delayed until early 2021, according to GF Securities analyst Jeff Pu.
In a note to investors today, Pu said the device's "complex panel design" could result in a delay. The tablet was previously expected by the end of the year as a minor update to the fourth generation iPad Pro which arrived in March.
It's unclear exactly what new features the refreshed iPad Pro will have. Rumors have suggested multiple changes including a mini-LED display, an A14X processor, and a 5G modem. Leaker Jon Prosser has been told that the refresh will only feature an A14X chip and a 5G modem.
I was told that a 5G, A14X model was coming as a one-off, and not a full, new refresh. Full refresh next year, I suppose.
Pu also claims that Apple will release one 5.4-inch and two 6.1-inch iPhone models in September followed by a 6.7-inch model in October.
