Apple is working on a new Apple TV that will launch later this year, according to a new report from The Verifier. Additionally, the company plans to add a new Kids Mode and Screen Time support to tvOS.

We are now reporting for the first time that Apple is working on a dedicated watch profile for kids called Kids Mode, which can be played while kids watch TV. The new profile will include different restriction options for better control of content and actual viewing time. That is, parents can restrict the various viewing times and use of tailored apps (such as YouTube) and also block content that is inappropriate for viewing at their age. In addition, the new profile is expected to include its own design tailored for children and makes the content better and more intuitive for them.

Apple is also working on Screen Time for tvOS. This would work similar to iOS, displaying the amount of time users spend in a particular app like Netflix, YouTube, or Apple Arcade.

Sources tell the site that Apple is planning to unveil its next generation Apple TV device at an event in November or December. The device will use an A11 or A12 processor and be offered with 64GB and 128GB of storage.
