Check out this screen brightness test comparing the displays of the iPhone X, iPhone XS, and iPhone 11 Pro.
To perform this test we disabled Auto Brightness and True Tone in iOS and set display brightness to 100%.
The iPhone 11 Pro performed significantly better than the iPhone XS and iPhone X with a peak measured brightness of 876 nits (cd/m2). We measured the iPhone XS at 719 nits and the iPhone X at 681 nits.
