These are instructions on how to force quit (kill) an app on your iPhone. You may need to follow these steps if an app on your device has become unresponsive.
This tutorial applies to iPhone X, iPhone XR/XS/Max, iPhone 11/Pro/Max and newer devices.
Step One Swipe up from the bottom of your display and pause slightly in the middle of the screen to bring up the multitasking viewer.
Step Two Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
Step Three Swipe up on the app’s preview to force quit the app.
Step Four Tap outside of the preview windows to return to your SpringBoard.

Unfortunately, this method DOES NOT work for the SiriusXM App when using Apple CarPlay.
It terminates the iPhone “portion” of the app, but the SiriusXM CarPlay interface is not affected.
Mmmmm.... Maybe they should make "How To" tutorials that are really interesting.. How about "How To Lower Volume in iPhone". Or "How To Charge Your iPhone's Battery"....
