New details about Apple's upcoming Apple TV+ streaming service have been found in macOS Catalina betas by MacRumors.

Strings found in recent betas reveal that users will be available to download videos for offline viewing with limitations.

According to code strings found in macOS Catalina, Apple will apparently allow videos to be downloaded for offline viewing, but with limitations on the total number of downloads, downloads per show or movie, or the total number of times a show or movie can be downloaded. For example, if a user tries to download the same video on multiple devices, the Apple TV app will inform them that "To download this episode of 'The Morning Show', delete it from another device and try again."

Apple will also limit the number of simultaneous streams. If you surpass the number of allowed streams you'll see a message like "To stream this movie, stop watching 'The Elephant Queen' on another device."

It's possible that the different limits could be based on the type of Apple TV+ subscription you have, family sharing, or your number of registered devices.

Recent reports have suggested that Apple TV+ will cost $9.99/month when it launches this fall. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for more updates.
