President Donald Trump has tweeted to say Apple will not get exempted from tariffs on its new Mac Pro following the company's decision to move production of the computer from Texas to China.

Apple will not be given Tariff waiver, or relief, for Mac Pro parts that are made in China. Make them in the USA, no Tariffs!

Apple recently petitioned the Trump Administration to exclude Mac Pro components from import tariffs. Now that assembly is no longer in the United States, Apple faces duties of 25% on various parts including the computer's stainless steel and aluminum frame, power supplies, internal cables and circuit boards, and its optional wheels.

The Mac Pro will be released later this year with a starting price of $5,999 USD.
