References to four new iPad models and a new iPod touch have been found in the iOS 12.2 beta recently seeded to developers.
The references were found by developer Steve Troughton-Smith.
In theory, iOS 12.2 references four new iPads in WiFi & Cellular variants (perhaps mini, and 9.7"?), all without Face ID, and a (seventh-gen?) iPod touch with no Touch ID nor Face ID
Notably, Apple has just registered six new iPad models with the EEC sparking speculation that the company will soon release its rumored new iPad mini and a new 10-inch entry level iPad. Additionally, at CES 2019, several Apple suppliers indicated that Apple had a new iPod touch in the works.
This isn't the first leak to come out of iOS 12.2 beta. Earlier today, a landing page for Apple's upcoming 'Apple News Magazines' subscription service was spotted. Yesterday, a setup screen for 'Hey, Siri' revealed that the feature would work with Apple's next generation AirPods.
