New iPad Pro Bends Easily [Video]

New iPad Pro Bends Easily [Video]

Posted November 16, 2018 at 4:05pm by iClarified
A durability test of the 2018 iPad Pro reveals that the redesigned tablet can be bent with surprisingly little force. The test was posted by YouTuber JerryRigEverything.

Apple says their New iPad Pro is a magical piece of glass that does everything you need, any way you hold it. (As long as you are gentle of course.) Today we are going to find out how durable Apples new piece of glass really is. How good is the drawing on the iPad? We'll be testing that out with Art Class With Jerry. (Which side did Apple want us to draw on again? I forget...) And finally we will finish off with the New iPad Pro Bend test, this will tell us realistically how much force the iPad Pro can withstand while it is in your backpack or book bag, or while being accidentally sat on.

The video also notes that the sapphire crystal camera lens cover does not perform at expected levels, scratching at the same level 6 as glass.

Take a look at the bend test below and let us know what you think in the comments!

Look here! I’m an Apple guy, I have no windows or androids devices. But if this new iPad Pro is the quality dished out for 1000 dollars, no thanks, I’ll keep my old iPad Pro. Don’t they test this kind of thing for strength?? Where’s the sapphire for the camera???

Apple’s 2018 quality: tough as cardboard.

EverythingApplePro also did this test with the same results, even while they might be biased for Apple’s products. Apple should’ve gone the way they did with the iPhone XR - super solid frame and glass panels, thicker than usual - damn tough to break.

The thing could be cast Neutronium and it would still have been destroyed in this video. Seems like Mr. JerryRigEverything doesn't like Apple products. I'm so glad he has money to burn, scratch and snap.

He does this to every device, he's not biased. I was surprised he didn't call it for what it is: garbage. Thousand dollar tag and it bends like aluminium foil and it has way too thin glass. I wonder if they even test their devices or just produce them for maximum profit. Apple has gone to shit over past few years.

I'd say sottingnon it would apply significantly more pressure than what this guy applied via his fingers. It appeared to be very simple to bend in half. #applefail
Great!

Actually it would be good if someone could test that...leaning against it or stuffing a backpack full and seeing if it bends.
