Apple will reportedly release a new entry-level 13-inch MacBook in September priced at around $1200, according to a DigiTimes report.

The new notebook is expected to use Intel's 14nm Kaby Lake processor. The site claims that Apple had planned to release the laptop in 4Q17 but issues with Intel's 10nm manufacturing process resulted in the decision to adopt processors based on an improved 14nm Kaby Lake architecture.

The inexpensive MacBook is estimated to have a shipment volume of around eight million units in 2018 and is expected to undermine demand for first-tier competitors' similar devices.

Additionally, Apple will likely announce the launch of its AirPower wireless charger at the September iPhone event. The charger is expected to have a price point of $161 - $193. It was first previewed nearly a year ago but we've heard little about it since then.

There's also new iPad Pros rumored for release this fall. A new 12.9-inch and 11-inch iPad Pro will replace the current 12.9-inch and 10.5-inch models.

The two new iPad Pros will come with a newly-designed 18W power adapter featuring USB Type-C interface for a faster charging experience. Apple so far has no further plan for the iPad mini series.

It's unclear if Apple will hold a second event this fall to unveil its new iPads or whether they will debut at the iPhone event in September. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
