Apple has released iOS 12 beta 7 to developers for testing and revealed that Group FaceTime has been removed from the initial release of iOS 12. The build number is 16A5354b.

iOS 12 introduces numerous new features including Group FaceTime calling, Memoji, Siri Shortcuts, and more.

iOS 12 changes the way iOS users see the world using AR, makes communications fun and expressive with Memoji and Group FaceTime, and with Screen Time, helps customers understand and take control of the time they spend interacting with their iOS devices. iOS 12 introduces Siri Shortcuts, enabling Siri to work with any app, delivering a much faster way to get things done.

As usual, Apple says this beta version of iOS should only be deployed on devices dedicated for iOS 12 beta software development. Developers can download the new beta from the link below.

Previous betas brought numerous discoveries about Apple's future plans including the resolution of the iPhone X Plus, support for dual-SIMS, the shape of the new iPad Pro and its display, and more.

Unfortunately, the release notes for beta 7 reveal that Apple has delayed the launch of Group FaceTime.

"Group FaceTime has been removed from the initial release of iOS 12 and will ship in a future software update later this fall."
