References to new Apple Watch models have been found in iOS 12 beta 2 by developer Guilherme Rambo for 9to5Mac. The second beta of iOS 12 was just released to developers earlier today.

The new Apple Watch identifiers found are Watch4,1, Watch4,2, Watch4,3 and Watch4,4. Those numbers match the existing variants of the Apple Watch Series 3, which are Watch3,1 through 3,4. There are also references to the model numbers corresponding to the new devices, which include MTUD2, MTUK2, MTX92 and many others.

Apple is rumored to be updating the Apple Watch with solid state buttons that don't move but rather sense the touch of your finger. The buttons would work similar to the Home button on recent iPhones, utilizing haptic feedback to confirm a press.

The next generation smartwatch is also said to feature a new design, larger display, and bigger battery. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
