Apple has reportedly updated the MFi logos used by accessory makers to indicate that their products are certified for use with Apple devices.
The Made for iPhone, Made for iPad, and Made for iPod logos communicate to customers that an electronic accessory has been designed to connect specifically to iPhone, iPhone, or iPod, and has been certified by the developer to meet Apple performance standards.
A source tells ChargerLab that Apple informed partners of the change last month.
Apple announced the packaging and MFi logo changes to their already certified manufacturers on February 9th. Now, the manufacturers will have 90 days to update their packagings and MFi logos. There are relevant guidelines available to download from the MFi portal: Marketing Materials-MFi Identity Guidelines February 2018.pdf to help assist with all the changes.
