Apple is launching a group of medical clinics under the name 'AC Wellness' for use by its employees and their families, reports CNBC. A new website at acwellness.com reveals more details about the initiative and a careers page seeks physicians, nurses, coaches, and other medical professionals.
This new primary care group — a group of clinical staff that is run independently from Apple but is dedicated to Apple employees — will initially only serve Apple's employees in Santa Clara County, where its headquarters are located. Initially, it has two clinics in the county.
AC Wellness Network believes that having trusting, accessible relationships with our patients, enabled by technology, promotes high-quality care and a unique patient experience.
This is fostered by an environment of continuous learning and teamwork, which in turn allows us to work with our patients to achieve exceptional health outcomes. The centers offer a unique concierge-like healthcare experience for employees and their dependents. Candidates must have an appreciation for the patient experience and passion for wellness and population health — integrating best clinical practices and technology in a manner that drives patient engagement.
Sources tell CNBC that Apple will leverage the medical clinics to test its growing range of health services and products.
