Apple has released iOS 11.2.1 to fix a vulnerability with HomeKit that allowed unauthorized remote access to smart accessories.
Last week, the company applied a temporary server side fix which disabled remote access to shared users.
“The issue affecting HomeKit users running iOS 11.2 has been fixed. The fix temporarily disables remote access to shared users, which will be restored in a software update early next week.”

iOS 11.2.1 fixes bugs including an issue that could disable remote access to shared users of the Home app.
