Apple sold out of its first batch of iPhone X units just 30 minutes after pre-orders went live.
Devices for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon were sold out within 13 minutes of pre-order availability with a 2-3 week shipping estimate for each model.
Sprint had all models available for a November 3rd delivery date until 23 minutes into pre-orders when the Silver 64GB slipped, followed by the Space Gray 64GB model at 28 minutes. Sprint didn't sell out of all models until 30 minutes after pre-orders had gone live.
For those in Canada, the iPhone X is also showing a 2-3 week shipping estimate for all models.
UPDATE: At 35 minutes into pre-orders, shipping estimates for all models and all carriers is now at 4-5 weeks!
UPDATE x2: Canada is at 4-5 weeks as well.
UPDATE x3: Shipping estimates have slipped to 5-6 weeks in the USA and Canada.

Nov 3rd for mine!! I was surprisingly done with the order by 2:03am Central time. I got on to Verizon’s website around 1:55 and it let me start preording. Shocked how fast it was and that I got on earlier than 2am. Also checked Apples app and it still wasn’t back online after I was completely done.
Give it a week and the network stores will have them in stock. It happens every year and is nothing more than a marketing gimmick that everyone falls for every time !!!
The App and website from my location were not live until almost 8-9 minutes past the opening. And at 12:10 I completed my transaction, only 30-40 seconds after it went live, and the web beat the app so something was up. I am in the 2-3 week slot.
I think Apples distribution across the internet is uneven, and some regions servers "win". You might ask for the local city where people scored early too. Frontier user in Seattle area here. Incredible delay compared to other people just to have the site or app go live.
That was my experience as well. In Alberta, the app was not live until about 1:05am, and I placed the order very fast when it went live and immediately a 2-3 week window.
Apple store UK preorders were meant to go live at 8:01 but went live at 8:10, by that time it was already showing 2-3 weeks????????? Every year the same Apple.
Nope... stupid to always have to have the newest phone... I have a 5s and love it cause I can do everything you can AND I can take it to any network... no one can justify this for any reason other than pride, vanity, and status...
It may seem stupid to you. But for us few who make that kind of $$$$. It’s not really a big deal. It’s literally given away every year @ launch again. Please be considerate when you try to elevate your logic. Different folks different strokes.
News for you bro. As of December 1st every phone purchased from that date will be unlocked. If you have a locked phone you can make a call to your provider and get them to unlock it for free. New law. I know this is true in Canada and I could care less about the USA's laws.
Got through at 3:10, all looked well, but then ApplePay refuses to work x3. Which is too bad, as this was my first time using Apple Pay, and it works very smoothly up until the final step.
(Part 2) used my credit card next and got it for 2-3 weeks out. I am rather pleased, all told. iPhone X 256GB Verizon space black through Apple online store.
Well in an update to above 2 hours later i was able to place the order for the other 2 (256 and 64) SG. I proceeded with the order despite them giving a reservation number when they couldn't connect with At&t. Delivery for the 2 is the week of Dec. 11-18. Just before I got the emails from apple about the reservations and once I see being able to order I will try to reorder (if the delivery is earlier) and cancel the other orders if they arrive before hand. Will give Apple a call to see what can be done.
I almost had the X ordered for the 3rd in the UK. Ended up having loads of trouble with Apple Pay not accepting my Credit Card delivery address. Went to update details and the estimated time moved to 2-3 weeks, but collection available instore on the 3rd, again problems with Apply Pay had to use alternative payment method, used the same card, at this point sold out in store. Finally ordered with 4-5 weeks delivery. Wouldn't mind but I used the same card to buy my Apple watch a few weeks ago. Very frustrated!
I'm this close to order mine right now!! I wanted to wait some time if bugs do occur, much easier said than done... Still available where I'm from, 5-6 week delivery ;)
