Geekbench has added the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X to its iOS Benchmark Chart.
Notably, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus both outscore the iPhone X in single core and multi-core performance. All three devices feature Apple's new A11 chip.
The iPhone 8 tops the Single Core iOS Benchmark Chart with an average score of 4195, followed by the iPhone 8 Plus which scores 4128, and the iPhone X with a score of 4028. The iPhone 8 scores about 26% higher than the iPhone 7.
In Multi-Core performance the iPhone 8 again tops the charts with a score of 10005, beating the iPhone 8 Plus at 9829, and easily outperforming the iPhone X which had a score of 9287. Multi-core performance is massively improved from last year. The iPhone 8's score is 80% higher than the iPhone 7's score of 5545.
Geekbench also posted Metal benchmarks for the new devices. Here the iPhone 8 ranked behind Apple's latest iPad Pros with a score of 15624. The iPhone X managed to pull slightly ahead of the iPhone 8 Plus with a score of a 15540 compared to the 8 Plus' score of 15520.
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are currently available for pre-order; however, the iPhone X won't be available to pre-order until October 27th.
