A new report from Bloomberg offers some more details about Apple's Steve Jobs Theater which will be the venue for the company's big iPhone unveiling this month.

Apple has been working feverishly to get the 1000-seat auditorium finished by September 12th. It features a large cylinder-shaped lobby with all glass walls and a carbon fiber roof that is entirely supported by the glass walls.

The auditorium occupies four underground stories that you get to via a staircase that spirals down alongside the walls.

It also boasts two custom-made rotating elevators, which turn as they ascend and descend so that passengers enter and exit by the same door even as they go in and out from different directions. So far, so Apple—the more elegant single door, with its complex engineering, preferred to the more obvious double-door solution.

Interestingly, an inside wall which obscures a hollow space below the floating saucer, will retract to reveal the product demonstration room.

Based on the budget for the building, it's estimated that each leather seat cost Apple the equivalent of $14,000 a piece.

We're bound to get a much better look at the venue on September 12th. For now, you can check out this recent video of the outside and please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
