References to Apple's next generation Apple TV have reportedly been found in tvOS 11 beta 7.

Following the release of the new beta today, developer Guilherme Rambo tweeted out some references he spotted:

tvOS 11 Beta 7 contains some HDR assets for model J105A

Back in February, Bloomberg reported that Apple was working on a new Apple TV with 4K support and more vivid colors. It was allegedly codenamed J105.

In March, Firi Games co-founder and programmer Tijmen Roberti spotted a new mysterious "AppleTV6,2" model in Phoenix HD's logs. The device was running tvOS 11. Last month, some observant iTunes customers noticed that select movie purchases in their iTunes History were being marked '4K, HDR' and then just recently references to a 4K HDR Apple TV with support for HDR 10 and Dolby Vision were spotted in the leaked HomePod firmware.

We're hopeful that Apple will launch the new device in time for this holiday shopping season. References to the Apple TV in tvOS 11 is promising. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
