Apple could update the 9.7-inch iPad Pro without a special event, according to Japanese analysts via Macotakara.
There have been rumors of an Apple iPad event in March and April but sources believe that Apple plans on announcing the iPad Pro 2 (9.7-inch) next week. Given that invites haven't been sent out yet, perhaps Apple will update the device without debuting it at a press event.
However, as there is not information about Chinese supplier and media event is not scheduled, part of Japanese analysts predicts that what will be announced next week might be the iPad Pro 2 (9.7-inch).
The new 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2 is said to have basically the same specifications as current 9.7-inch iPad Pro except it will get an A10X chip.
Apple is allegedly planning to unveil a new 7.9-inch iPad Pro mini, 10.5-inch iPad Pro with slim bezels, and an updated 12.9-inch iPad Pro in the near future. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
