Adding to the ever growing list of features for the upcoming iPhone 8, a new report offers some details on the RAM and storage options expected for Apple's 10th anniversary iPhone.

In a new research report, TrendForce reveals its findings on Apple's plans for 2017. The company expects Apple will release three new iPhones for a total production volume of at least 100 million units this year. Following the launch of the new smartphones, Apple could ship 230 million units next year.

One of the three new devices from Apple will be a top-of-line model with a 5.8-inch AMOLED display that is 2K in resolution. The display won't be curved due to alleged issues with the 3D glass in terms of production yield and drop test results.

As often rumored, the physical Home button will be removed with its functionality embedded into the display. This could result in a display aspect ratio exceeding 2:1 and a overall body size similar to the 4.7-inch iPhone.

TrendForce says the high-end iPhone will have 3GB of mobile DRAM and come with two storage options: 64GB or 256GB.

As reported earlier today, the iPhone is said to integrate 3D Sensing technology that could provide facial recognition and augmented reality features.

The other two models Apple is planning to unveil will be minor upgrades from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. They will have the same screen sizes, LCD displays, 256GB storage options, 3GB of RAM for the 5.5-inch model and 2GB of RAM for 4.7-inch model.

The new 5.8-inch model with OLED display is again predicted to cost over $1000 while Apple may price the 4.7-inch model more economically.
