Apple has announced an update to its Apple News Format and a major revision to the Design Tutorial that helps you create articles to showcase your content on Apple News.
Apple News Format now includes the following new features:
● List Item Style for HTML Formatting: You can now use bullets, numbers, letters, roman numerals, or custom characters in HTML formatted lists. The new listItemStyle Text Style property describes the style for list items using HTML formatting.
● Automatic MREC Placement on iPhone and iPod touch: Along with standard, double-height, and large banners, medium rectangle (MREC) advertisement components can be automatically inserted into Apple News Format articles viewed on iPhone and iPod touch.
Apple also revealed improvements to its Design Tutorial and announced that SPD is accepting Apple News Format submissions for its design competition.
