Apple has increased order volumes for the new iPhone 7 that will be launched later this month, reports DigiTimes.

Apple reportedly has revised upward orders by 10% for parts and components needed for production of the new iPhone devices scheduled to be released on September 7, according to sources from the iPhone supply chain in Taiwan.

Sources say that the hike in order volumes indicates that Apple is being positive about replacement demand for the new iPhones. Originally, the company predicted that shipments would only reach about 60% of those in the year prior. Shipments of the iPhone 6s reached 30 million a month on average in the second half of 2015.

Despite the increase, some suppliers are still worried that orders will drift down in the fourth quarter due to seasonality.

Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 7 on September 7th. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
