The Washington Post has published a lengthy interview with Apple CEO Tim Cook which touches on iPhones, AI, privacy, civil rights, missteps, China, taxes, Steve Jobs, and steers right past the car rumors.
One notably takeaway from the interview is Cook's response to being asked about the company's plans for augmented or virtual reality.
I think AR [augmented reality] is extremely interesting and sort of a core technology. So, yes, it’s something we’re doing a lot of things on behind that curtain that we talked about. [Laughs.]
Of course Cook refused to comment when asked about an Apple Car.
I can’t answer a question about something we haven’t announced. [Laughs.]
