Apple's much anticipated next generation MacBook Pro is once again rumored to gain a Touch ID power button, reports 9to5Mac.

A source who has provided reliable information in the past has informed us that the new MacBook Pro models, expected to be launched in the fall, will feature a Touch ID power button as well as the previously-reported OLED touch-sensitive function keys.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo first hinted at 'Touch ID support' in a research note that predicted an OLED touch bar which replaces the top row of function keys. Since then photos have surfaced which claim to show the top case for the new notebook.

Placing the Touch ID sensor into the Power button would let it work similar to the Home button on the iPhone, making it easy for users to power-on and authenticate with just one touch.

Unfortunately, the new MacBook Pro models aren't expected until the fourth quarter of this year with Apple's lineup consisting of an entry level MacBook Air, mid-tier MacBook, then the high-end MacBook Pro. For now check out these awesome renders by Martin Hajek.
