Apple is planning to announce a new MacBook Air this month, according to a 'reliable Chinese supplier'. Macotakara says that the device will start shipping to retailers in August.

The site reports that there have been rumors that Apple may cancel the 11-inch model device to focus on 13-inch and 15-inch ones. Additionally, the company could announce a new MacBook Pro at the same time which would replace the entire MacBook Pro lineup. All the notebooks are believed to have support for the USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports and will no longer be compatible with USB-A, MagSafe 2, and Thunderbolt 2 ports.

The new MacBook Pro is said to feature an OLED touch bar that will replace the function keys along the top of the keyboard. Check out some leaked photos and a mockup of what the final product might look like here.

It's unclear if Apple will use its WWDC 2016 keynote to unveil these new devices. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
