Microsoft has announced that it will be holding a WWDC 2016 following Apple's keynote.

Come and join Xamarin and Microsoft after the WWDC 2016 State of the Union. We’ll be providing food and drinks and chatting about iOS.

The event is open to those attending and not attending WWDC.

● WHO: All iOS & OS X devs are welcome! (even if you're not attending WWDC)
● WHEN: Monday, June 13, Starting immediately after the “State of the Union” (estimated 5:00)
● WHERE: Market St. & 9th St., 1355 Market Street, 3FL, San Francisco, CA 94103 (behind the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium)

Microsoft's San Francisco office is home to the Outlook mobile team. You’ll be meeting with the developers building Outlook for iOS, the app The Verge recently called the “best email app for iOS” and getting a closer look on how Microsoft is reinventing itself on iOS.

But we’re not just about email. Microsoft is also building some of the most widely used productivity apps out there, with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneDrive all setting the gold standard on iOS. On top of that, we’re proud to include innovative apps in our family, like SwiftKey, one of the best keyboards for iOS out there, and MileIQ, ranked number 1 on the app store for Finance.

Whether it's Minecraft, Office, or Skype, we love building apps. We’re excited to get to talk about it with you.

How can they ruin the phone they were expecting to do better in? As many people mentioned, Windows phone is dead, and what pushes that even further is Foxconn buying out Lumia's business for $350,000,000 and the sales hitting rock bottom near the end of 2015.

My posts don't make sense yet you're still comprehending them. Despite that, I'm so with you on this one about the world being better off with Microaoft. Can't tell you how much I wish I had forgotten about Windows and only knew about OSX after giving it a chance the first time and already feeling blown away by it unlike Windows because of how I grew up with it as a kid.

Must be feeling sorry about how they expected lumia to be the next iPhone and this is accepting their defeat.

I have a feeling Microsoft has an ulterior motive to this but okay.
