Third party cases for the upcoming 'iPhone 7' have an opening for a Smart Connector, keeping rumors alive that Apple will equip its next generation smartphone with the feature.
Case manufacturer Sunnyc appears to be confident in the iPhone's design, setting a ship date for the end of June, well ahead of the iPhone 7 Plus unveiling expected this fall.
In addition to an opening for the Smart Connector, the Sunnyc case has an opening for a dual lens camera.
There has been conflicting rumors about whether the larger 5.5-inch iPhone will get a Smart Connector. In early May, Macotakara said Apple had shelved its plans. While the dual lens camera hasn't been officially confirmed, the consensus is that it's a go.
Apple will likely unveil the iPhone 7 at an event in September. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
