Microsoft has announced the release of News Pro 2.0 for iPhone, an update to its app that helps you search for news around your work and life every day.
Find articles and topics you didn't know you needed. News Pro allows you to extend the scope of your daily news updates by suggesting new topics to search based off your current interests and by helping you discover websites where you can read articles that are interesting to you. You can also search for news related to any topic right in the app so you can always be fully informed.
What's New In This Version:
● Introducing Groups. Come and share news and exchange your opinions with colleagues and friends in groups. It’s a popular place where people take a break.
“We believe group discussion is a natural extension of news reading, especially when it’s about work,” says Yumao Lu, a principal development manager whose team works on Bing news products. “A very natural move after reading news is to share and comment with people who have common interests. These groups are trying to fill a gap, to give you opportunity to express opinions with others. This was an app that focused on news reading, and now you can chat with the app and with others, creating communities.”
● Introducing personal news bot, Rowe. Rowe is your personal news agent and can keep up with interesting topics and stories with you all day long. Moreover, he is going to surprise you once you upload a selfie and share with him.
“Reading news, especially work-related news, can sometimes be a bit dry. A bot that can have some basic conversation with you could make news reading more fun,” Lu says. “News Pro bot is your news agent at your beck and call. Try talking to the bot about any news topic on your mind, playing with the assisted keyboard.”
