Apple is finally planning to bring Siri to the Mac with the release of OS X 10.12, according to a new report from 9to5Mac.

While Apple has been internally testing a Mac implementation of Siri for quite some time, sources say that the company now has a clear vision for the personal assistant on Mac and a polished user interface. It's expected to unveil the feature and OS X 10.12 at WWDC this June.

Siri is expected to live at the top right of the Mac's menu bar, similar to the Spotlight magnifying glass.

When a user clicks the Siri button, a dark, transparent Siri interface will appear in the top right corner of the screen, as shown in our mockup by Michael Steeber. This interface will feature colorful sound waves to indicate speech input. The interface design in testing is not finalized and may still change before the summer introduction, according to sources.

Siri is said to have its own pane in System Preferences where users can choose to have the personal assistant activated by a keyboard shortcut. Additionally, you'll be able to have Siri enabled at startup and use a 'Hey Siri' command when your device is plugged in.

OS X 10.12 is reportedly codenamed, 'Fuji'. It's said to have some minor user interface tweaks but nothing as major as the Yosemite update. Release is planning for the fall.

I see a new keyboard coming with build in microphone and dedicated Siri button. ( or no button but a "hey Siri" function)

It is long overdue, the Siri on Apple Tv is limited in functions hopefully that will be updated as well (to use homekit). How about LTE chips int he Macs?

I find Siri on arc useful, plus there are lte antennas to plug into your computers to do that and Ethernet adapters.

They will. Probably were too busy to think about this sooner.
