Apple's second generation Apple Watch will enter mass production in the second quarter of 2016, according to DigiTimes. Quanta Computer will reportedly be the sole manufacturer of the device.
Apple originally considered shifting some second-generation Apple Watch orders to Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), but decided to keep all the orders with Quanta as volumes will not be high, the sources noted.
The new Apple Watch 2 will likely debut sometime later this year. However, Apple is expected to unveil some new Apple Watch bands and watchOS 2.2 in March.
