Both Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet have received Oscar nominations for their roles in Steve Jobs. Writer Aaron Sorkin, who won the Golden Globe for Best Screenplay, was not nominated.
Michael Fassbender picked up a nomination for best 'Actor in a Leading Role'. This is the second Academy Award nomination for Michael Fassbender. He was previously nominated for 12 Years a Slave.
Kate Winslet was nominated for best 'Actress in a Supporting Role'. She portrays Joanna Hoffman, the marketing executive who helps to steer Steve Jobs's computer companies to success. Winslet just won the Golden Globe in the same category.
This is the seventh Academy Award nomination for Kate Winslet. She was previously nominated for: The Reader, Little Children, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Iris, Titanic, and Sense and Sensibility.
