Apple Asks Court for $180 Million in Supplemental Damages From Samsung

Apple has filed papers asking the court to force Samsung to pay the company nearly $180 million in supplemental damages and interest, reports Reuters.

The damages relate to five Samsung devices that infringed Apple's patents and were sold after the 2012 jury verdict finding Samsung guilty of infringement.

Samsung has paid over $548 million to Apple for the infringement but has now appealed the verdict to the United States Supreme Court.


Reuters notes that another trial over remaining damages related to the appeals court decision is set for March in San Jose, California federal court.

Eventually the court is going to start fining Apple and Samsung for their frivolous law suits that waste it's money and resources.

I don't know from the looks of the same outcome every time with one company paying for the damages to another always happening.
