Apple is planning to release a new Remote app for the Apple TV 4 that will feature full Siri Remote functionality, Apple SVP Eddy Cue tells BuzzFeed.
“We’re working on a new Apple TV remote app that will give you the full functionality of the Siri Remote on your iPhone,” Cue said. “We’re hoping to ship that in the first half of next year.”
Notably, with the release of tvOS 9.1, Apple just updated the Apple TV to work with the current Remote app. While it doesn't have full Siri Remote functionality it does have a full keyboard for easier text input.
