Zerodium has announced that they have a winner of their $1,000,000 bounty for a browser-based untethered jailbreak of iOS 9.

The company announced the bounty program last month.

ZERODIUM will pay out one million U.S. dollars ($1,000,000.00) to each individual or team who creates and submits to ZERODIUM an exclusive, browser-based, and untethered jailbreak for the latest Apple iOS 9 operating system and devices. The program is open until October 31st, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. EDT, and may be terminated prior to its expiration if the total payout to researchers reaches three million U.S. dollars ($3,000,000.00).

Today, Zerodium announced on Twitter that one team has won the award.

Our iOS #0day bounty has expired & we have one winning team who made a remote browser-based iOS 9.1/9.2b #jailbreak (untethered). Congrats!

The team behind the jailbreak hasn't been revealed yet and considering Zerodium has paid $1,000,000 for the jailbreak, it is unlikely that we'll see it released to the public. You can follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
