Redesigned iMac and MacBook Coming Within Weeks?

A new research report by Wedge Partners suggests that Apple will release a redesigned iMac and MacBook within weeks.

Wedge sees a redesigned iMac with a “thinner, organic design, likely with smoothed or rounded edges." The MacBook redesign “is likely to be limited.”

The firm believes the computers will come with a "new, lower price points to drive demand and create a meaningful competitive threat" to the upcoming Windows 7 based PCs.

“We believe these new designs and price points will help Apple achieve a 3 million unit quarter for Macs in [calendar] Q4.”

Great ,This always happens, I wanted to buy the latest and greatest and I just bought my first iMac. I should call them and tell them to take this one back for the new model.

I wish Apple would just stop with the redesign of the MacbookPro and iMac and concentrate on increasing the RAM and performance. 30" iMac ?? Nice thought, but impractical. Better the 24" with 8Gb RAM, 1Tb drive and a nice 3.5GHz processor. Also upgraded graphics card.

I love my iMac don't get me wrong I like Macbooks too but I am still a fan of the desktop :) I also can't wait!

Or even better and iMac with an easy upgradeable video card and hd. They have the easy to do ram upgrade part down.
