Apple was reportedly in talks to use the BMW i3's body for its electric car project, according to Manager Magazin. The project, codenamed 'Titan', is said to involve the creation of a self-driving electric car at a secret research lab.
Negotiations between Apple and BMW took place in late autumn 2014 but broke off. The two companies apparently agreed to keep talking and to check in with one another from time to time.
Apple CEO Time Cook and other senior managers are said to have visited the i3 production facility in Leipzig during a visit to BMW.
