Apple has revealed its Back to School promotion for 2015, offering a free pair of Beats Solo2 on-ear headphones with the purchase of a Mac.

Receive a pair of Beats Solo2 On-Ear Headphones at no cost — or upgrade to a pair of Beats Solo2 Wireless Headphones for $100 — when you buy an eligible Mac with education pricing. Offer starts on July 23, 2015, in Apple Retail Stores and participating Apple Authorized Campus Stores, and on August 6, 2015, on the Apple Online Store and at 1-800-MY-APPLE. Offer ends on September 18, 2015. Terms and conditions apply.

This promotion is valid only during the following periods:
● U.S. Apple Retail Stores and participating Apple Authorized Campus Stores: July 23, 2015 through September 18, 2015
● U.S. Apple Online Store or 1-800-MY-APPLE: August 6, 2015 through September 18, 2015

Eligible Products:
● iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac Pro, including configure-to-order versions of such products. Mac mini and refurbished Apple Computers are not eligible for this promotion.

Promo Product:
Qualified Education Individuals who purchase an Eligible Product during the Promo Period may elect to receive one of the following promotional products

I bought a MacBook Pro at the weekend without waiting for the BtS offer and the price has now gone up by £110 in the UK edu store, presumably in lieu of the upcoming "free" headphones. If it's the same globally then not such a great offer after all..!

All computer manufactures and resellers, including Apple, give an educational discount for students and faculty. So this is in addition to the standard educational discount???

You still get the educational pricing. The Beats headphones is in addition for the "Back to School" promotion. Other stores like Best Buy have education pricing too, just like Apple has it all year, something like 100.00 off iMac's
