Early benchmark scores for the refreshed 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro and MacBook Airs reveal slightly better performance than their predecessors.
Looking at Geekbench scores, the early 2015 model of the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro achieved a single-core score of 3043 and a multi-core score of 6448. That's just around last year's model scores of 3056 and 6554.
The new 11-inch MacBook Air featuring an Intel i5 1.6GHz processor achieved a single-core score of 2920 and a multi-core score of 5781. That's higher than the early 2014 model which scored 2671 and 5291.
The new 13-inch MacBook Air featuring an Intel i5 1.6 GHz processor achieved a single-core score of 2937 and multi-core score of 5808 besting the early 2014 model which scored 2663 and 5264.
There are still very few benchmark scores logged in the Geekbench browser so these results are preliminary. We'll let you know when a more accurate benchmark average is available.
