Tropical Software has announced the release of TopXNotes 1.4.1, a minor update to its popular note manager for Macintosh. Version 1.4.1 introduces a new QuickStart for first-time users and fixes a rare problem encountered by a small number of users when exporting notes to some Classic iPods.
Awarded 4 out of 5 stars by Macworld magazine, TopXNotes (pronounced "Top Ten Notes) allows people to create, collect, store, and retrieve all the bits and pieces of information they find themselves inundated with on a daily basis. Its intuitive interface allows notes to be both categorized and grouped, and allows the user complete control over the appearance of a note's content.
Notes can also be synchronized with Classic iPods for handy retrieval while away from the computer. The company is working on support for iPhone and iPod Touch. This new release introduces a brand new QuickStart guide that helps new users get the most from TopXNotes right off the bat.
It also addresses an issue affecting a very small percentage of users where a small percentage of Classic iPods were not properly recognized for export. "While only a very small percentage of our users have experienced this problem, we still recommend everyone update to 1.4.1 just in case," said Tropical Software president James Lee.
Pricing and Availability:
TopXNotes sells for $39.95 (USD) and is available from select Apple stores and other retail locations, or online from Apple, Amazon, and direct from the Tropical Software online.
