Apple is reportedly set to launch both the 4.7-inch and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 on September 19th, according to iGen.

The release date of September 19th for the new iPhone has been mentioned again. One of our insiders who warned us of the Mac book air last spring, has told us about the sale of two new references (n56 and n61) for Friday next week. But it is possible that some customers might get them the day before, as it has already happened.

The n56 reference would correspond to the 5.5" iPhone and n61 to the 4.7" iPhone. There are no other mentions, at least nothing that would lead to believe that an iPad update is also to accompany the main releases.

It's said that the supply of the smaller 4.7-inch model is significantly higher than that of the 5.5-inch model.

MacRumors has heard similar news from a reliable source, who has indicated that two different iPhone models are incoming with the larger model shipping at only half the rates of the smaller one.

Earlier today, another report predicted that the two models would be named the 'iPhone 6' and the 'iPhone 6 Plus'.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6, a wearable device, and a payments platform on September 9th. We'll have plenty of coverage before, during, and after. You can follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates. The iClarified app can be downloaded from the App Store for free!
