According to a new report from Re/code, Apple has considered pricing the iWatch at $400, with cheaper models planned.
Apple executives have discussed charging around $400 for the company’s new wearable device. Pricing has yet to be finalized for the forthcoming product, which is expected to begin shipping next year. Sources say consumers should expect a range of prices for different models including lower priced versions.
The report does note that it is still unclear whether or not Apple will announce a price for the product on September 9. Recent reports indicated that the watch would not ship until 2015. Just like the original iPhone, the product may not ship until months later in an effort to keep the device a secret before its reveal.
Lots of speculation has been around Apple's wearable device. We are still unsure of many of the features it will pack, but will be ready September 9 to see what Apple has up their sleeves.
