Dare to be Creative has announced the release of Slices 1.0, a utility to split large files on Mac OS X. Slices allows users to email large documents and to backup very large files. It is the latest addition to Dare to be Creative's system utilities suite, and will be available at an introductory price for the next few weeks.

Split Large Files:
With Slices users can email large documents by breaking them down into smaller files before attaching them to emails. Slices also allows users to backup large files onto multiple CDs, USB memory sticks and other writable media.

"Slices complements both iArchiver, our archiving tool, and Sponge, our disk cleaner," says Philipp Mayerhofer, Chief Operational Officer at Dare to be Creative. "It's also part of our mission to bring easy-to-use system software to the Mac."

Introductory price:
Dare to be Creative will be offering Slices at an introductory price of $10 (USD) for the first few weeks following it's release.

Pricing and Availability:
Slices is $10 (USD), and available as a free download from the Slices website. It runs initially in a 15-day trial mode with all features active.
