Leaked Round 'True Tone' Flash Corroborates Rumored iPhone 6 Design [Photos]

Luna Commerce has leaked what appears to be a round 'True Tone' flash for the iPhone 6.

The flash is part of the Power Control Flex Cable and features both white and amber LEDs within a single round flash component.

Introduced with the iPhone 5s, the new True Tone flash is made up of two LEDs, one white and one amber. When you take a picture with the flash enabled, the iSight camera uses software algorithms to assess the color temperature of the scene. That allows your device to determine just the right percentage and intensity of white light versus amber light you need — using over 1000 unique combinations. The result is a better shot with more true-to-life colors, says Apple. Not too cool. Not too warm. Better highlights. More natural-looking skin tones.

Observant readers will have noticed that the rumored design of the iPhone 6 features a round a flash opening; whereas, the iPhone 5s has an oblong opening for its dual-LED flash. This led to concerns that the leak might be a fake. However, the debut of this new flash corroborates the purported design.

Take a look at the photos below. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6 on September 9th. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
